Turning Bad into Good

My heart goes out to those who have suffered during this #Covid19 #pandemic and I am truly grateful for the health workers and others who have put their well-being on the line to keep us all safe. My thanks also go out to the grocery and restaurant industry as they did all they could to continue their services as well as many other crucial businesses who stayed open. I, myself, am working in the schools now, helping to provide a safe means of educating our children starting this September. I am looking forward to a timely remedy to this bad situation.

On the other hand, I am also thankful for the time off and the government incentives that helped me do some much needed repairs and maintenance on my house. Due to financial restraints and lack of time from working multiple jobs, my house fell into a sorry state of disrepair.

Like many people across the country, when the organizations I was working for shut their doors, I was left home with no jobs to go to. That’s when I went to work on my house. I invested my stimulus check into paint and material, then went out every day to spruce up my turn-of-the-century house. While others set their minds and energy to complaining about their favorite hang-outs closing and the mask requirements, I got busy.

I’m proud of my decisions. I hope you made some good ones as well.
