- What’s it like to self-publish a book.
- How I came up with my ideas to write my books.
- Overcoming great hurdles through my struggle with brain cancer.
When planning your library activities, think about inviting me to discuss my experience with self-publishing, writing books and dealing with Glioblastoma. If you have a book club, consider having me sit in on a discussion after reading one of my books. For over 15 years I taught self-enrichment classes on photography, publishing, WordPress, and Photoshop at Orange-Ulster BOCES and throughout the Ramapo Catskill Library System. I spent the past year in recovery after brain cancer surgery, radiation therapy, and chemo treatments after the discovery of a tumor on the left side of my brain, leaving me unable to read. Now I prefer talking about my experiences with writing the thirteen books that I have completed including five young-adult novels. After a year in recovery, I am back to writing and reading at a reduced capacity.
